ELE 2205 Fluid Power and Control

This course is an introduction to hydraulics and the practical application of fluids. Students will learn about the fundamentals, components, schematics of fluid circuits, and the terms used in hydraulics technology. Computer hardware and field-based computer equipment will be examined. Students are introduced to the basic theory, operation, and programming of programmable logic controllers.

This course may include both classroom and online activities such as video, tests/quizzes, simulations, and discussion boards. This course will include out-of-class work such as reading and writing assignments, practice and practical application assignments, and projects. A minimum of five hours of out-of-class work will be assigned per week.
